Reviving Neon
Done as a school project, in conjunction with THE Museum of Vancouver, Concept Neon, Tops Lighting, Sicon Signs and with help from Pheonix Neon. Ranking right after Las Vegas, Vancouver had once the second largest concentration of neon lit signage in North America. In the late 1960's, city council enacted laws that put and end to any new neon signage to be mounted. With 2010 Winter Olympics approaching, and the city rushing to get ready for the masses, Granville Street was in dire of a revamp. Neon signage would once again bring life to the main artery of Vancouver's downtown core.
This is my concept of a flash based portfolio.
